International Education Center announces the next Scholarship Competition

International Education Center announces the next Scholarship Competition for those who want to continue studying on Master's and Doctoral programs abroad. Also, the contest will be held on program for employees of public institutions qualification upgrade and retraining.

International Education Center today held the programs' open house day. Interested persons were informed about the competition terms by the Deputy Head Government Administration Nino Kobakhidze and by the Head of International Education Center Nino Chelidze.

Accepting applications of the contestants began on November 3 and will continue through November 19. The contestants will undergo a three-stage competition with the International Education Center Commission, which will be composed by the representatives of governmental and nongovernmental/international in the field of education.

One of the criteria of the International master's and doctoral program, according to which the Commission will guide the contestants, is the students' academic and professional direction. According to the State Development Priorities, the Educational Center will give priority in funding the students having the agricultural, exact and natural, technical, social sciences directions.

As for employees of public institutions qualification upgrade and retraining program, the Commission will consider the contestants' past working experience and the appropriateness of the qualification program selected.
The International Education Center was founded by the initiative of the Prime-Minister Irakli Garibashvili and serves for training high qualified personnel. The aim of the Center is the Georgian citizens to get an International Education, to upgrade a qualification and be employed in public service.

First contest was announced by the International Education Center in May 2014. 77 winner state-funded students are studying at world's leading universities.
