The scholarship program "Chinese Government Scholarship 2025-2026" is a partnership program of the LEPL International Education Center (IEC), the basis of which is the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education between the Ministry of Education of Georgia and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (signed on April 13, 2001) and the Letter of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Georgia (dated November 1, 2024) regarding the scholarship program.
Program Objective
Chinese Government Scholarship 2025–2026 aims to promote academic exchange and strengthen bilateral cooperation in education between Georgia and the People’s Republic of China. Under the program Peoples Republic of China supports Georgian citizens in pursuing undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees, research programs, and Chinese language courses at higher education institutions in China.
Eligibility Criteria
- - Applicants must be citizens of Georgia or hold a neutral ID and/or neutral travel document.
- - Applicants can apply for one of the following:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree programs;
- General Scholar Programs;
- Senior Scholar Programs;
Language of study: Academic programs may be conducted in English and/or Chinese. Language proficiency requirements vary by university and should be confirmed directly on their official websites.
Application & Selection Process
- Two applications must be completed:
- Through the IEC online application portal: https://app.iec.gov.ge
- Through the Chinese Government Scholarship portal: http://www.campuschina.org
- The IEC reserves the right to conduct interviews with applicants.
- Final selection of scholarship recipients is conducted by the Chinese side, after the nomination by the IEC.
