The "Scholarship Program in the Czech Republic 2025-2026" is an international exchange scholarship program based on a 2017 agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.

Program Objective

The program aims to:

• - Enhance academic mobility, promote knowledge exchange, and foster long-term partnerships between Georgia and the Czech Republic in the field of education and research.
• - Strengthen international academic cooperation by supporting Georgian students, lecturers and researchers in pursuing short- and medium-term study or research opportunities at Czech higher education institutions.

Scope of Funding

• - The scholarship is available for undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in all fields of study, as well as supports short-term academic or research visits.
• - The scholarship does not cover full degree courses nor confer academic degrees.

Funding Conditions

• - Bachelor’s and Master’s students receive a monthly stipend of 12,000 CZK; doctoral students receive 13,000 CZK per month.
• - Researchers and lecturers invited for research visits receive a daily allowance of 933 CZK for food and personal expenses, with accommodation costs fully covered.
• - Student accommodation may be provided by the host institution upon request (usually dormitories or university residences).
• - Travel expenses to/from and within the Czech Republic are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.

Eligibility Criteria

• - Applicants must be the citizens of Georgia or holders of a neutral ID card and/or neutral travel document.
• - It is required that applicants for study visits have an active student status.

Admission decisions are made autonomously by the host universities or faculties. Credits earned during the stay may be recognized by Georgian institutions.
