Funding Opportunities for Master’s Studies in the Arts (MSA -2025-2026)

  • Program Overview

    Within the framework of the state grant program “Funding Opportunities for Master’s Studies in the Arts (MSA -2025-2026)”, Georgian citizens have the opportunity to receive funding to pursue Master’s studies abroad.

  •  

    For the 2025–2026 academic year, the following areas have been designated as priority:
    • Arts;
    • Conservation/Restoration;
    • Cultural Heritage.

  •  

    Program Objectives

    The program aims to:

    • Expand access to international MA programs in the arts and promote practical application of acquired knowledge and skills within Georgia;
    • Support training of qualified professionals essential for Georgia’s economic and social advancement;
    • Facilitate integration of graduates into relevant cultural, academic and professional sectors in Georgia.

 

 

  • Grant Duration and Conditions

    • The grant may be awarded as full or partial funding, for one academic year.
    • Continued funding may be provided for the following academic year, within the official duration of the Master’s program, subject to high academic performance.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The competition is open to:

    • Citizens of Georgia (including holders of a neutral identity card and/or neutral travel document)
  •  
  • Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a bachelor’s or higher academic degree, or
    • Be currently enrolled in a priority master’s program abroad and seeking funding for the upcoming academic year;
    • Demonstrate strong academic performance;
    • Have received or secured co-financing from a foreign higher education institution.
      (This requirement does not apply to those enrolled in tuition-free programs, where only administrative registration fee is applicable.)

  • Scope of Funding

  • Funding may include full or partial reimbursement of:

    • Tuition fees, and/or
    • Living and study-related expenses in the respective country during the period of study.
  •  
  •  

    Post-Study Obligations

    Grantees are required to:

    • Return to Georgia within one month of obtaining their degree and to submit proof of completion;
    • Remain in Georgia and be employed in a relevant field for at least 3 years within 5 years of obtaining their degree.
  •  

    Deferral options:

    • The right to remain abroad for one year to gain work experience;
    • Pursuing the next academic degree in the same field.
