The Scholarship Program in the Republic of Armenia is an international exchange scholarship program, the basis of which is the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Education and Science signed on March 9, 2023 between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
Program Objective
The program aims to:
- - Deepen educational and scientific cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and to highlight the need for new and active initiatives in this area.
Scope of Funding
- - 10 scholarships are available annually for Master’s-level studies.
- - The program provides funding for continuing Master's degree studies in any academic field at partner universities in the Republic of Armenia.
Financial Support
Students nominated by Georgia and funded by Armenia will receive:
- Full tuition waiver at Armenian higher education institutions (up to 1,000,000 AMD);
- Monthly stipend for personal expenses (up to 50,000 AMD);
- Free accommodation in university dormitories;
- Access to university resources including libraries, archives, labs, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are required to:
- - Be Georgian citizens or holders of neutral ID/travel documents.
- - Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- - Possess an English language proficiency certificate; In the absence of such a certificate, they are required to take an internal examination administered by the host university.
Application & Selection
- - Applicants shall submit documentation via email to info-iec@iec.gov.ge.
- - Final selection is made by the Armenian side, based on nominations from the IEC.
