Program Overview
The program “Graduate Program for Gaining Work Experience or Continuing Studies for the Next Academic Degree Abroad (ALW/ALS_ 2025) defines the rights and procedures for 2025 graduates of the International Education Center, who wish to either accumulate professional work experience abroad, or continue their studies at a higher academic level abroad in accordance with the terms of their original grant/scholarship program and the Grant Agreement.
Program Objectives
This program supports the Center’s graduates by:
- - Enabling them to gain practical experience in relevant fields or disciplines abroad;
- - Providing a framework for graduates to pursue higher academic qualifications (e.g., moving from a master’s to a doctoral program);
- - Encouraging the application and enhancement of their acquired skills prior to returning to Georgia.
Conditions for Participation
Graduates may exercise their right to remain abroad under the following conditions:
- - Gaining work experience (maximum 1 year):
The graduate may stay abroad for up to one year to gain professional experience in a field relevant to their studies.
- - Continuing Studies for the next academic degree:
The graduate may remain abroad for the official duration of a higher-level academic program (e.g., doctoral studies after a master’s), provided the new program is at a more advanced level than the previously funded one.
Application Requirements
- - Graduates are expected to submit an application to the relevant committee no later than one month after completing their studies, unless otherwise specified in their grant/scholarship program or Grant Agreement.
