The annual Grant Recipient Forum was held by the International Education Center at Marco Polo Hotel in Gudauri on July 19-21, 2018.
The International Education Center’s annual grant recipient forum aims to bring together the students of various international programs and generations, introduce them to each other, and facilitate their mutual collaboration. Graduates as well as winners of the five grant programs for 2018-2019 participated in the forum.
Throughout the two-day conference, students had the means to become familiar with the Center’s ongoing programs, the planned programmatic changes taking place within the globalization and internationalization of higher education, the structure and parameters of evaluation and selection, and the priorities, similarities, and differences among the grant schemes.
Meetings were held with commission members, specialists of various fields, and graduates over the course of the conference, where the students received needed advice regarding their professional development from the Center’s beneficiaries and got to know the peculiarities of the international education process.
Students were offered 5 sessions through the conference during the two days. One of the conference’s work sessions was devoted to the foundation, work, format, and future plans of the International Education Center Graduate Association. The presentation of the ICE Graduate Association was attended by Mrs. Maia Tskitishvili, the Minister of Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure and by Mr. Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Village Agriculture. Mrs. Tskitishvili and Mr. Davitashvili emphasized the role of the graduates sharing their international education and experience within the context of regional development and village agriculture. They expressed a readiness for future collaboration. Maia Tskitishvili and Levan Davitashvili will be members of the ICE Graduate Association Council along with graduates.
