Goals and Objectives
In 2020, July 6 a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary in order to support the Stipendium Hungaricum.
The agreement implies offering 10 scholarships for Hungarian citizens to take short, seasonal and other courses at authorized higher educational institutions in Georgia in 2023-2024 academic year.
Application procedure and timeline
Applications for participation in the program will be accepted from 21 August to 21 December 2023 at the official e-mail address of the LEPL International Education center - info-iec@iec.gov.ge . Hungarian citizens should indicate their interest in receiving the scholarship and their areas of interest and/or information about the selected university and course.
Documents to be submitted
- - Official document confirming Hungarian citizenship;
- - CV
- - Motivation letter;
- - Letter of recommendation;
- - Proof of active student status or employment;
- - The requested documentation should be submitted in English or with an official translation into English.

Scholarship
- - Exemption from tuition fees;
- - Health insurance;
- - A monthly stipend of GEL 800 (eight hundred).
